Don’t set your thermostat fan to the “on” position all day. Rather, choose the “auto” position. It will blow air only when the cooling system is running.

Some basic weatherization would help your cold air to stay in and hot air to stay out.

Each degree below 78 increases your energy consumption by about 8 percent.

Check the air filter once per month and replace it as needed.

Air conditioners with proper shading can run more efficiently.
